There are many ways to seek help and advice.
If you are already registered with SystmOnline you can make an appointment via SystmOnline
Appointments are available at a range of times; our aim is to offer a consultation with a health care professional when clinically necessary. Urgent cases are seen within 24 hours, but a doctor may wish to discuss the degree of urgency by telephone prior to booking the appointment. Please call as early as possible to request an urgent on-the-day appointment.
At present appointments can be booked up to 3 to 4 weeks in advance. You may specify a preference for a particular doctor, but this may mean you have to wait longer.
Routine appointments are for 10 minutes duration. Please ensure that separate appointments are made for each person needing to see the doctor/nurse/healthcare assistant.
The surgery provides a free text reminder service for appointments and health campaigns.
Please advise us if you do not wish to be contacted by text message. Equally if you do wish to use this service, please ensure we have your current mobile number.
Please help us
If you are not able to attend your appointment, please let us know in time so that the time can be used for someone else. If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.
Extended opening hours
We work in partnership with neighbouring surgeries to offer increased access to primary care services. Our area ‘Hub’ is located at Rutland Lodge Medical Centre on Scott Hall Road.
If you feel that your problem is urgent, we can fit you in to see a doctor on the same day. The receptionist may put you in touch with one of the doctors so that your condition can be assessed.
When you are seeing the doctor or nurse you may be offered a chaperone for certain examinations. This is in line with national guidance to support and protect us all, and relevant staff have been trained in this role. Any patient can request a chaperone; it will not affect their treatment. A doctor or nurse may request a chaperone but will always discuss this with you and you may, of course, refuse. If you would like to discuss the role of chaperones, please ask the doctor or nurse.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
If you have a dental problem
Unfortunately, we are unable to help if you have a dental problem and so we will ask you to see your dentist. If you are looking for dental care the NHS Choices website can help you find a NHS dentist. For urgent Dental Care please call 111 for the NHS 111 service.
Cancel an appointment
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible by calling 0113 237 1914, in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Registered for online services?
If you are registered for online services, then you cancel the appointment and re-book all at the same time.

This is a telephone appointment for patients who need to speak to a pharmacist regarding a medication issue; but do not need to come to the surgery. The pharmacists can prescribe and organise prescriptions electronically.

For either of the above please speak to the reception team for further information on how to book one of these appointments.
A virtual mental health support service (Healthy Minds)
This is a telephone appointment for patients aged 18 and over who would like help with emotional wellbeing. It will provide a 20 minute telephone consultation with Healthy Minds Practitioners who will be able to offer support for patients experiencing low mood, stress or anxiety.
